What do we do when a death occurs?

If death occurs in a hospital, nursing home, or other facility, let your nurse know that
you plan to use Jimmy D. Sawyer Funeral Director Licensee. If death occurs at
home with hospice, call your hospice nurse, she will come to your home and than
call the doctor. If death occurs at home or any other place and you are not under
hospice care, call 911 and let the officials know that you wish to use our services.

Are you less expensive than funeral homes in our area?

We will be glad to send you our general price list. You may call or email for this.
My prices are more economical than most funeral homes. I intentionally do not
have a large facility so that I can pass on my low overhead to the families I serve.
You will generally save hundreds or even thousands on services when you choose
Jimmy D. Sawyer, Funeral Director Licensee compare to most funeral homes.

Since you don't have a facility, where do we make arrangements?

Over the years we have learned that most families are more comfort in their own
surroundings. With this knowledge, we come to the you, where you are
comfortable and can make well thought out decisions. We will bring everything
with us that we will need to make all arrangements. Please allow about an hour or
hour and a half for this.

I have made arrangements at another funeral home,
Can I change & use Jimmy D. Sawyer, FDL?

Yes, you need to do nothing now. When death occurs, simply notify the nurse or
official that you have decided to use Jimmy D. Sawyer, Funeral Director Licensee.
At this time we will proceed with the arrangements. We can take care of getting
the money from the funeral home to pay for the burial. Since you will probably be
spending less with us, all overages will be refunded.

I don't have a church, where can we hold the visitation and funeral?

Our services and visitations are usually held in churches; if you do not have a
church, I can help you find a local church or other facility to hold your viewing,
visitation, memorial, or funeral service.
