On January 19, 1976, God blessed us with the birth of a baby boy. We named him Jeffrey
Allen Peele. What made this joyous event even more wonderful was that he arrived on his
mother's birthday! He was a very bright little fellow who loved everyone and everything.
Then thirty three years, one month, and seventeen days later, God took him back to be
with him in Heaven. Although thankful for having him with us for that period of time, we
naturally were devastated by having to give him up.
It is times such as these that helps us realize the true value of friendship. People from
near and far gathered around us to give us their love and support. And for this our hearts
will be forever touched. In the midst of all this, a new and unexpected friend emerged. He
was Jimmy Sawyer. Jimmy did everything he could to lighten our burned through old time
values, sincere compassion, and a genuine desire to do whatever he could for us. He
quietly did little things behind the scenes that we weren't aware of at the time.
All this was in stark contrast to the strictly commercial, over priced atmosphere we have
experienced previously from other funeral homes in our area. During the time since Jeff
left us, Jimmy has become an even closer friend, whose friendship we cherish dearly.
May God Bless You and Your Family,
Ralph and Ann Peele
I am writing in as a thank you and praise for Mr. Jimmy Sawyer, Funeral Director Licensee.
On 3/6/2011, a close friend of mine lost her baby - she was stillborn due to Trisomy 18, a
genetic defect. We enlisted the services of Jimmy Sawyer, and he was wonderful. He
treated the family so well, and was so flexible and kind in his work with them. His prices
were super, and he had or found an answer question, even ones that had little to do with
the actual funeral. I would like to recommend him to anyone who is looking for someone
who will deal with them on a personal level, and who will meet their needs, but is still
professional and does an excellent job.
By the way he treated the family, I figured we were the only family he was helping - turns
out he was planning two other funerals around the same time. I truly believe that God
ministered to us through him. I just had to write in and let everyone know what a great job
he did - he deserves recognition.
